One of the most compelling aspects of JRR Tolkien's high fantasy saga is its commitment to world-building.
In other words, the universe the books are set in is so richly detailed and vastly catalogued that it almost feels real.
There's maps, glossaries and all sorts. You might have already seen that coffee-cup with the map of Middle-Earth drawn on it, but this takes it one step further.
Artist 'jlctoban' posted this image over on DeviantArt and it's really got us hankering for Second Breakfast.
Using a wood-burner and an old coffee table, he crafted this.
The ornately detailed coffee table has a map of Middle-Earth, including little annotations and quotations on the face of it.
The table's design took roughly 20 hours over the course of three weeks, all drawn by hand by the artist.
'jlctoban', if you're reading this, we would totally buy one - provided you can ship to Ireland stuff.
