Evangeline Lilly of Lost and The Hobbit fame shared a first look photo at her character in Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp, the sequel to 2015’s Ant-Man, yesterday.
The new film sees her reprise her role of Hope van Dyne, aka The Wasp, which she’ll be playing opposite Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, aka Scott Lang, and Michael Douglas’s Dr Hank Pym.
She shared the image of her in costume on what would have been Jack Kirby’s 100th birthday (Kirby co-created Janet van Dyne, Hope’s mother and the original Wasp, in 1963):
I am honoured to be on set today playing #TheWasp on what would be Jack Kirby's 100th birthday.

Mind you a couple of observant Tweeters were quick to point out that the costume had much less gold in it than it appeared to have when first revealed in Ant-Man:
Suit looks good. Kinda wish the gold elements stood out a bit brighter. They look grey/silver here. #TheWasp #AntManandtheWasp pic.twitter.com/OvfUq0WKdm
