Perhaps the most ludicrous movie news controversy of the year broke earlier this week when it was reported that Warner Bros. were spending millions on digitally removing Henry Cavill's moustache from the Justice League reshoots

If you hadn't read the original report, Cavill is currently filming Mission Impossible 6 and is sporting a nifty moustache for role. He was expected to be finished shooting the movie before he was needed to report for reshoots on Justice League. However, as does happen, he is yet to wrap on Mission Impossible 6 and is reportedly having to simultaneously bounce between both projects.

The controversy stems from the fact that Paramount, who produce Mission Impossible, reportedly won't let Cavill shave his facial hair for the Justice League reshoots. So Warner Bros. will have to digitally remove it in post.

Almost sounds like a joke, right? Well Cavill is treating it as such anyways. In his latest Instagram post he took a picture from behind the scenes of Mission Impossible and gloriously mocked the whole story while also bigging up the power of his facial hair.

Dear followers, it is time to finally set the record straight in this moustache fiasco. Pictured above, is not a set on MI6 but is in fact the latest in a series of weapons being designed by Warner Bros and Paramount Studios to combat the entity known as "Henry Cavill's Moustache". There has been no discussion over whether to shave or not to shave for the JL reshoots, simply a relentless campaign to put an end to the seemingly inexorable conquest of this despotic 'stache. It is not a question of IF I should shave - it is a question of how can we possibly be victorious against such a beast without bringing our own doom raining down upon us. #MI6 #JusticeLeague #HenryCavillsMoustache #HopeIsAllWeHaveLeft #MoustacheImpossible
