It's safe to say that Tom Holland's iteration of Spider-Man was a highlight in Captain America: Civil War.

More than anything, Holland's boundless optimism and youthfulness played a huge part in making the character so likable. Moreover, the interplay between Parker and Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark felt natural and authentic, which just added to the texture of the film overall.

Although there's no word on any kind of official trailer for it, we've finally got our first look at the poster for Spider-Man: Homecoming and, honestly, it looks great.

You've got the classic salute from the comics in there, which is just great and you've also got the bright colouring there too.

Director Jon Watts, who previously did the excellent Cop Car, has said that Spider-Man: Homecoming will be more akin to a John Hughes film than anything else - which, it has to be said, sounds amazing. The two previous iterations of Spider-Man really overplayed the seriousness of it and didn't actually focus on the teenage aspects of the story.

There's also a great cast, including Michael Keaton as Vulture, Donald Glover (not as Miles Morales, apparently), the returning Marisa Tomei as Aunt May and Robert Downey Jr. is also set to appear as Tony Stark at some point as well.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is slated for a July 7th, 2017 release.
