Oliver Stone is making his return to disturbing conspiracy thrillers with Snowden, the bafflingly true story of Edward Snowden, the US whistleblower who revealed the NSA's massive spying operation.
Gordon-Levitt is attached to lead the film, with Divergent's Shailene Woodley playing his girlfriend and Star Trek's Zachary Quinto starring as Glenn Greenwald and Nicolas "I'll Take Any Role" Cage as an intelligence official.

Stone, who previously directed the underrated JFK and the overrated Born On The Fourth Of July, is working with familiar material. He's been vocal about his support for Snowden and what he did, as well as having a personal relationship with a good few of the heads of states that the NSA spied on.
Seriously, check out South of the Border - it's pretty mental.
Gordon-Levitt has been tweeting from the set, posting Oliver Stone's first selfie.
