Paul Mescal's ascent into Hollywood superstardom has been non-stop since 'Normal People'. Not only is the Irish actor starring in Ridley Scott's upcoming 'Gladiator' sequel, but he's also in line to play one of the Fab Four.

The news comes from a piece about up-and-coming actors in The Hollywood Reporter, which said that Mescal is "near the top of the list for major studio roles, including as one of the Fab Four in Sam Mendes' coming Beatles movies."

Director Sam Mendes is behind the series of films set to be four biopics based on each of The Beatles. It will mark the first time Apple Corps and the respective families of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr have granted full life story and music rights for a scripted film.

It will be 2027 by the time we see these biopics and there is no word on which Beatle Paul Mescal might play.

To be fair, looks-wise, he could pull off any of them.
