Time for our weekly round up of what's out in the cinema this week. After the excitement of Bond last Friday, this week it's a bit of a quiet one.
If you're looking for something a little light hearted and fun, we suggest For A Good Time Call.... FAGTC follows Lauren whose boyfriend has just dumped her for being too boring and kicks her out of their apartment (nice of him). Stuck with nowhere to live she ends up living with old frenemy Katie and in order to make ends meet the two end up becoming phone sex operators... as you do. For more on this film you can check out the trailer and review here.
For something a little different why not check out Call Me Kuchu, a moving documentary which follows David Kato Uganda's first openly gay man and the Ugandan LGBT society as they fight against a bill which threatens to make homosexuality punishable by death. You can read Gav's four star review here. The best of the rest this week includes Rust and Bone, which tells the story of Ali who falls in love with a killer whale trainer after she suffers a horrible accident. Then there's Elena. When a sudden illness and an unexpected reunion threaten dutiful housewife Elena's potential inheritance, she must hatch a desperate plan. You can read our review here.
If you fancy one last scare The Shining The Extended Cut is also out this week. One of the best horror movies of all time ,The Shining follows a family who move into a hotel which turns out to be haunted... EEK! This version includes some extra unseen footage making it even more scary. You can check out our five star review here.
Til next week!
