Awards season reached its conclusion last night with the Oscars 2021 ceremony.

As with any year, the Oscars 2021, aka the 93rd Academy Awards, saw some snubs and some surprises.

The big winner of the night was 'Nomadland' winning the awards for Best Picture, Best Director for Chloe Zhao, and Best Lead Actress for Frances McDormand.

Among the surprises for Oscars 2021 were Anthony Hopkins' win for 'The Father'. He'd previously won the BAFTA for his performance, but the late Chadwick Boseman had been the favourite to win for his performance in 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom'.

Winners on the night also included 'Promising Young Woman', 'Mank', 'MA Rainey's Black Bottom', 'Judas and the Black Messiah', and 'Soul'.
