Making a film like Diana was going to be dicey from the get-go. It's still in people's minds and most of us can remember when it actually happened. We all know that, on paper at least, Diana looked like it could have been amazing. You've got the director of Downfall, Naomi Watts and what could have been an interesting movie. And we all know how it turned out.
Well, unfortunately, the director of the film, Oliver Hirschbiegel, isn't feeling all that rosey about it. Speaking to the BBC, he's said that he is "devastated" by the poor review it's been getting. But, for some reason, it's opened very positively in Poland, the Czech Republic and Turkey. Which is something, we guess.
The film 'Diana' has been getting into a bit of trouble lately. Most recently, posters for it were placed inside the Parisian tunnel where she died. Not only that, Naomi Watts had that infamous interview with Simon Mayo that she cut short. Hirschbiegel has said that the reason for the film's poor opening in the UK and Ireland is because it's "a trauma they haven't come to terms with."
Have you seen Diana? Was it as bad as everyone says it? Let us know!
