Now this sure is an interesting pairing. Variety report that senior citizen Oscar winning actor Robert De Niro and perky young blonde Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon are both reportedly in talks to star in upcoming comedy The Intern (oh we see where this is going...)
The Intern comes from the great mind of writer-director Nancy Meyers (The Parent Trap, It's Complicated, The Holiday) and centres around the founder of a successful fashion website who clashes with but eventually becomes firm fuzzy friends with an old man intern. Hilarious! Or offensive and patronising, who knows at this stage?
We love an odd-couple flick as much as the next hungover person on a Sunday and we know that both actors can do comedy so maybe this is a match made in cinematic heaven.
