'The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent' gets a full-length red band trailer.
The Nicolas Cage film has a full-length trailer, showing us that we're all just living in a Nic Cage-centred universe. And to be honest, we're here for it.
Out of all of the roles that the 58-year-old has played in his career, is playing Nicolas Cage his most difficult role yet? That's one to keep track of when he begins the press circuit in a few weeks' time.
The action/comedy adventure will see the lauded actor play a version of himself that feels "unfulfilled" in his acting career. Facing financial ruin, this fictionalized version of Cage accepts a $1 million offer to attend the birthday of a dangerous superfan, played by Pedro Pascal.
However, hot on Cage's tail are Tiffany Haddish and Ike Barinholtz, who play CIA Agents who warn Cage not to get too deep into this mysterious man's life. Haddish's character recruits the actor for a mission, turning Cage into the real-life action hero he's often played on screen. What could go wrong?
Also appearing at the end of the trailer is a de-aged Nicolas Cage, which we can already see as being turned into another iconic Cage meme.
Joining Cage, Pedro Pascal, Tiffany Haddish, Ike Barinholt is Neil Patrick Harris and Sharon Horgan (who does not appear in the trailer).
Here's the trailer.
'The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent', directed by Tom Gormican, hits cinemas on April 22.
