As one of the more interesting stories we've seen hit the big screen in a while, Rush sees Thor (otherwise known as Chris Hemsworth) ditch the lightning hammer for the more realistic world of Formula 1 racing. Based on a true and incredbile story, Rush centres on Formula 1 champion Niki Lauda (played here by Daniel Bruhl who you'll know from Inglourious Basterds and Goodbye Lenin) and the 1976 crash that almost claimed his life. However, so determined not to let the near-fatal experience keep him off the road, it was only a matter of weeks later before he got behind the wheel to challenge his rival, James Hunt (Hemsworth).
Directed by Ron Howard (Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind), Rush takes place in the 70s, hence the hair. Its screenplay was penned by Frost/Nixon writer Peter Morgan, so we're expecting big things from this.
