The Ghostbusters news is arriving thick and fast this week. Just Tuesday night it was announced that a new movie was greenlit by Sony, with Ivan Reitman - director of the first two 'Ghostbuster' movies - returning as a producer while his son Jason Reitman will direct.
Then yesterday, a teaser dropped for the movie, which won't be a reboot like the all female 2016 version and will essentially be 'Ghostbusters III'.
Now it's emerged that it's looking like it will have a teen cast. A listing from Production Weekly has revealed that the new Ghostbusters movie would begin filming in late spring or summer of 2019. It all contains details regarding the film’s plot and its characters.
According to the project notes, "The main characters will be 4 teens: 2 boys, 2 girls. A family moves back home to a small town where they learn more about who they are."
It seems likely they are the children and grandchildren of the original Ghostbusters but that's just speculation.
There's no official title yet, but 'Ghostbusters III' as we're calling it for now, is set for a summer 2020 release.
