The new three-minute 'Fantastic Beasts 3' trailer has arrived to brighten up our Monday, featuring a look at the expanded cast in the upcoming fantasy film.
Featuring Mads Mikkelsen for the first time as Grindelwald (having replaced Johnny Depp), the third entry in the Wizarding World spin-off will heavily focus on his rocky relationship with Hogwarts professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law). With the dark wizard rising in popularity around the world, it's up to Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander (who features very little in the trailer, might we add) and his team of friends to attempt an ambush.
Directed by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling and Steve Kloves, the sequel will see the return of Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, William Nadylam, Callum Turner, Victoria Yeates, Poppy Corby-Tuech and Fiona Glascott.
Jessica Williams, Maria Fernanda Cândido, Richard Coyle, Dave Wong, Oliver Masucci, Aleksandr Kuznetsov and Valerie Pachner join the cast for the new worldwide adventure.
The omission of Katherine Waterston as Tina (and the mere one second featuring of Alison Sudol's fan favourite Queenie) from the trailer and the promotional material for the film hasn't gone unnoticed by fans online even though the actor is listed as part of the film's ensemble cast.
Last Wednesday, 18 new character posters were released. A new trailer was promised to arrive on Thursday.
Here's the new 'Fantastic Beasts 3' trailer for you.
Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?
'Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore' hits cinemas on April 8, 2022.
