Following on from the Irish premiere of his latest movie Byzantium at the end of last month, the Irish Film Institute is having a look back over the career of one of Ireland's - and the world's - most creative, prolific and genre-defining directors. From supernatural horrors to bombastic biopics to stylish crime noirs, Neil Jordan has dipped his toe in just about every type of movie you can think of.
On May 25th he will be interviewed by his friend and frequent collaborator Pat McCabe as part of the IFI's Free Afternoon talks, but until there is his entire back catalogue to enjoy over the month of May before the Gemma Arterton / Saoirse Ronan vampire drama Byzantium goes on general release.
