Crooner Ne-Yo has joined the cast of the science fiction movie, Battle: Los Angeles, which Jonathan Liebesman is directing, having previously helmed horror flicks, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, and Darkness Falls. It's a pretty decent cast, with the likes of Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Bridget Moynahan, Michael Pena and (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen star) Ramon Rodriguez already signed on. It'd be Ne-yo's first major role as an actor, as he tries to branch out from a hugely successful singing career. He always reminded me of a less aggressive Chris Brown... then again, I don't know the hippity hop very well.
