We hate it when that happens. You text your cousin Meryl several times to organise a family get together, she doesn’t reply, only for you to realise that you’ve been texting Meryl Streep the whole time. This is what happened to ‘Annihilation’ star Natalie Portman.
The inspirational actress appeared on Late Night with Seth Myers last night and explained how the misunderstanding occurred.
“We’ve been inviting them to all our Jewish holidays and everything and the last three holidays she didn’t reply,” she said on the late night show this week.
“I was like, ‘Did I do something to offend her? Did I hurt her feelings? Is she holding a grudge?’ I was like, ‘She’s totally not that type of person’.
“So I looked when I went to text her, I realised I had two Meryls in my phone book and I’d been texting Meryl Streep,” Portman revealed. “I was like, ‘Oh no!’” Awks.
