Rangey British thespian Michael Sheen has signed up to appear in the Twilight sequel, New Moon; having already starred in the vampire themed Underworld series. Somewhat ironically, this film also looks at the conflict between werewolves and vampires (why can't they just get along?), with Sheen playing Volturi, a "very gracious and friendly vampire" according to director Paul Weitz: "but beneath that he is a tremendous threat" eh,apparently ... Sheen is a great actor, pure and simple. But he really does seem to be pinning himself down into the biopic/vampire box. Sure, he's great at playing real life characters, but he's also simply a great actor. He next stars opposite Superman himself, Brandon Routh, as a terrorist in the action film Unthinkable. Let's hope it's a solid role for the Welshman.
