The very lovely and talented Rachel McAdams has joined the cast of Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes. The actress will play Irene Adler, love interest for Holmes; joining a cast that's already brimming with names, including Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law and RocknRolla star Mark Strong. The film starts shooting next month in the UK, with rehearsals ongoing as I type. Ritchie wrote the script, while Downey Jr's missus Susan Downey will produce the film with her long term partner Joel Silver. The cast is coming together nicely, and we should be in for a hugely entertaining production come its release next year.
