So we could be seeing another Bourne movie with both Matt Damon and Jeremy Renner - if Damon puts his toys back in his pram.
One of the producers of The Bourne series, Frank Marshall, is quoted in Empire Magazine as saying, "You see there are several different programmes in the movie with different skill sets. All possibilities are open. My dream is that in the next one we see Matt and Jeremy team up." Damon publically went to town on writer/director Tony Gilroy's script a few months ago calling it a "career ender." He then apologised for his comments which seemed out of character for the affable movie star. One thing that might be a little worrying, and a reason why there's a possibility we won't see a sequel, is that Universal Pictures have moved to movie back a week from its initial US release. Why? It doesn’t want to compete with the Colin Farrell starring Total Recall remake - or the latter weeks of The Dark Knight Rises. This does not show confidence in the product.
Love Renner, and hope this works as well as it can. It's funny that both he and Damon are friends, so if The Bourne Legacy is successful then there's every chance we could see the duo team up.
