As we reported a couple of weeks ago, Spider-Man is now firmly in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, thanks to a deal between Sony Pictures and Disney / Marvel Studios.
The friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man will be swinging into Captain America: Civil War next year and will have his own reboot film - that's three, if you're counting - in 2017.
Speculation has been ripe as to who will replace Andrew Garfield; we've done our own spot of speculation over here.
In the meantime, it's been confirmed that Cabin In The Woods' Drew Goddard will be directing the Spider-Man reboot.
Goddard was slated to direct Sinister Six - a sort of Avengers-but-baddies - but has now been shifted to take on Spidey. It's interesting to note that Goddard has a close working relationship with Joss Whedon, he of Avengers: Age of Ultron fame, so we're guessing he may have had a hand in Goddard's selection.
As well as working on the Spider-Man reboot, Goddard will also be writing and exec-producing the Daredevil TV series on Netflix, which is due out pretty shortly.
The burning question remains, however. Just who will be Spider-Man? Have your say in our poll!
