Forget 'Infinity War'. This could be the greatest crossover ever as Marvel Boss Kevin Feige is developing a 'Star Wars' movie for Disney.
According to THR, the project was set in motion after a meeting between Feige, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and studio co-chairmen Alan Horn and Alan Bergman.
The future of Hollywood looks bright as two of the most successful movie producers of all time are working together.
Horn says:
"We are excited about the projects Kathy and the Lucasfilm team are working on, not only in terms of 'Star Wars' but also 'Indiana Jones' and reaching into other parts of the company including 'Children of Blood' and 'Bone' with Emma Watts and Fox. With the close of the Skywalker Saga, Kathy is pursuing a new era in 'Star Wars' storytelling, and knowing what a die-hard fan Kevin is, it made sense for these two extraordinary producers to work on a Star Wars film together."
Seeing the worlds of Marvel and Star Wars join as one likely has fans all over excited.

Feige making a Star Wars movie is better than Christmas of ‘83 when I got an AT-AT. pic.twitter.com/lsC4sq0j5G

However some reactions have been warier to the announcement.
I ~love~ the way this article presents the idea that Kathy is staying in her leadership position because it would look bad if they replaced her since she’s a woman.

Kevin Feige is developing a Star Wars movie. Wow.
3 years ago I asked him about that and he said he didn't want to. Full quote in our story: https://t.co/xZUleNhKBT— Germain Lussier (@GermainLussier) September 26, 2019

There are no specific details about the kind of 'Star Wars' movie Feige might be developing at this point but reportedly he has told a major actor there’s a specific role he'd like that person to play.
Other 'Star Wars' projects in the works include 'Game of Thrones' showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss's movie - meanwhile 'The Last Jedi' director Rian Johnson is developing a separate 'Star Wars' trilogy. Then there's 'The Mandalorian' series on Disney+ to look forward to; and series following 'Rogue One's Cassian Andor and K-2SO, and Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi.
'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' hits Irish cinemas on December 19th.
