Exciting news this morning for the hardcore film buffs among you. World renowned director Martin Scorsese has just signed on to helm a Bill Clinton documentary. Premiering on HBO, the primary focus of this biopic will be on the former President's time spent in the White House. No prizes then for guessing the scene we'll be most eager to see, WHA! Will Monica Lewinsky make an appearance? Doubtful, but we're pretty sure that issue will be raised nonetheless. As per Entertainment Weekly, Goodfella Scorsese had the following words to say on the forthcoming film: "Through intimate conversations, I hope to provide greater insight into this transcendent figure." He went on to describe Clinton as "a towering figure who remains a major voice in world issues, President Clinton continues to shape the political dialogue both here and around the world."
Meanwhile, Bill expressed his excitement on the pair's impending collaboration: "I am pleased that legendary director Martin Scorsese and HBO have agreed to do this film...I look forward to sharing my perspective on my years as president, and my work in the years since, with HBO's audience."
