There is to be a sequel to one of Martin Scorsese’s greatest films, with no real input from the creative team behind the original production.
According to Movie Hole, Raging Bull 2 is being prepped for production this summer, with character actor William Forsythe taking over the Jake LaMotta role from Robert De Niro. It’s described as a “companion piece to the Martin Scorsese film and is both a prequel and sequel to the events depicted in the latter.” Riiiiight. Anyhow, it’s based on the book Raging Bull 2, funnily enough.
This will quite probably go straight to DVD, but just like the recently released then forgotten Donnie Darko sequel, seems utterly pointless.
