Steve Martin is a comedic genius, the likes of which come around every few decades or so. But he only appears to sporadically care these days when working with his own stellar material (Bowfinger, Shop Girl). Further of evidence of this is provided by the news that he'll co-star in Nancy Myers latest crime against cinema that has already cast Alec Baldwin and Meryl Streep. Martin and Baldwin will play competing lovers, vying for the affection of Streep (who seems to be really getting into that after Mama Mia). Myers previously worked with Martin on the Father of the Bride movies, while she has also written and directed Something's Gotta Give and (lord save us) The Holiday.
