Marlon Wayans is reportedly in final negotiations to star in a Richard Pryor biopic, being directed by Bill Condon and produced by no other than Chris Rock and Adam Sandler. Eddie Murphy was slated for a long time to star, but something has gone array during his negotiations with Paramount, and Wayans has reportedly blown away suits at the studio with a late audition in the meantime. He was last seen flexing his muscles in G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, and also made a cameo appearance in Dance Flick, as a balding drama teacher. I can actually really see this working, as Wayans is about the right age to really go either way portraying Pryor as a youngster, and as a older man. Would love to know what happened with Murphy, though; he really needed something like this after a string of flops.
