Bet he's regretting this now, folks. Mark Wahlberg has revealed that he turned down quite the pivotal role in JJ Abrams' Star Trek: Into Darkness. Total Film caught up with the Broken City actor, to talk all things Broken City ('you don't say'), and when they got on to the subject of Abrams taking to the helm of Star Wars, Wahlberg interjected with the news that he could have been very heavily involved in Star Trek but had to back out because of scheduling conflicts and what have you.
After something like Ted, could you imagine Wahlberg in such a role? What role would it have been? We can only really imagine him as Captain Kirk but we think we'd lean more towards Chris Pine than Marky Mark.
