Magic Mike 2 anyone? I'll take the liberty of speaking for all of you when I say 'yes please, that'd be nice.' As per Digital Spy, Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin have been discussing a proposed sequel to the surprise Steven Soderbergh hit, Magic Mike.
What we do know is that despite Soderbergh's desire to retire, Tatum has confirmed that a sequel is still in development. What we also know is that Matthew McConaughey who played Dallas is also looking to reprise his role, having enjoyed it so much first time round.
Speaking to AlloCine, the ripped-up actor said: "We really want to [make it], but Steven Soderbergh really wants to retire... We will undoubtedly make the Broadway version first."
A broadway version you say? Like on stage? Like hot, naked men dancing on stage before our very eyes? Dont mess with us, Tatum.
Reid Carolin, Magic Mike writer and co-producer is quick to explain what's really happening: "You know, we are talking a lot about it. We have a story, and it is really ridiculous and fun... It's a road movie sort of thing, where a bunch of strippers get back together. It's more of a broad comedy. I don't know whether it will happen or not."
If Soderbergh does retire, Tatum suggested that his assistant director Gergory Jacobs could be in line for the job of taking on the second flick.
