The strangely attractive Maggie Gyllenhaal has signed up to appear in a sequel to the Emma Thompson starring kiddie flick, Nanny McPhee. It's not clear what part Gylenhaal will play, but the film will switch from the previous Victorian setting, to World War II, where a group of kids are being shielded by the bombing on a local farm. This is probably when Emma Thompson shows up, and starts doing magic and the likes. Haven't seen the first one so I can't comment, but it was obviously enough of a success to warrant a sequel. Thompson has again penned the script, while Susanna White will make her feature directorial debut, having previously helmed an instalment of the David Simon created Generation Kill.
