The ‘highly overrated’, aka one of the greatest actresses of our time, Meryl Streep turns 71 this week.
With a career spanning over five decades, Meryl Streep has three Academy Awards to her name. She has been nominated for twenty one altogether, giving her the most nominations of any actor ever. And deservedly so.
We went through her incredible, extensive list of movie credits and selected some of her most critically acclaimed and popular performances to date.
There were a lot to choose from, and it's not an easy choice to pick the best of the lot (it's practically Sophie's Choice), between her early performances in 'The Deer Hunter', 'Kramer vs. Kramer', and 'Out of Africa'; her '90s and '00s performances in 'Postcards from the Edge' and 'The Bridges of Madison County', to 'The Devil Wears Prada' and 'Doubt'; and who can forget her brilliant turn as Margaret Thatcher in 'The Iron Lady'; or taking on yet another real life persona as the titular 'Florence Foster Jenkins'?
