The brilliant Richard Jenkins, who was nominated for an Oscar for his role in The Visitor, has signed on to play the guardian in the American remake of the stunning Swedish horror movie, Let The Right One In. The new movie has shifted its setting to snowy Colorado, and is being directed by Matt Reeves, who last terrorised New York with Cloverfield. Kodi Smit-McPhee will play the young chap who befriends the eternally young vampire, while Kick-Ass and (500) Days of Summer youngster Chloe Moretz, will portray the ageless blood sucker. Excellent casting and a director capable of embracing the enigmatic wonderfully - I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with this one. The new film has been retiled Let Me In, and will start shooting next month for a release sometime next year.
