Ya know what? We've got an awful tendency to moan and rant and curse and say 'ugh' but sometimes we've got no reason to; sometimes we find ourselves surprised that the world is, in fact, full of rather sweet, thoughtful individuals.
Today, the ledgebag award goes to Steve Carrell, who went out of his way to be there in person for a bunch of sick kids who were given the chance to enjoy a special, private screening featuring their favourite villain, Gru, in the sequel to their favourite movie, Despicable Me (2).
As per Digital Spy, Carrell made 20 young kids feel like they were all stars for a day, as he joined in with them for the mother of all parties, The Little Star Awards party, held in Leicester Square's Empire cinema.
"I'm delighted to be here to attend the Little Star Awards party to celebrate the bravery and courage of children who have undergone such a gruelling time at a young age.. These amazing children are an inspiration in how they have coped with their cancer diagnosis and it is truly my pleasure to be able to be here to see the children being presented with their special awards... Anything that helps the children and their families at this difficult time gets my full support and it's an honour to be involved with such a wonderful campaign."
The Little Star Awards in partnership with Cancer Research UK and TK Maxx celebrate all the brave and courageous children who have been sadly diagnosed with cancer.
