Since winning herself an Oscar for Best Original Song and coming within striking distance of an acting Oscar for 'A Star Is Born', Lady Gaga appears to be well on her way to an acting career.
Indeed, her next choice of movie is an intriguing one - 'Bullet Train', the new action from 'John Wick' alum and now-in-demand action director David Leitch. Collider is reporting that the Mother Monster will be joining the likes of Brad Pitt, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Michael Shannon, and upcomer Joey King for the movie.
Leitch's action credentials are unparalleled, to say the least. After 'John Wick' exploded onto the scene, Leitch has directed the likes of 'Atomic Blonde', 'Deadpool 2', 'Hobbs & Shaw', and has been linked with the likes of the long-awaited 'Highlander' remake.
'Bullet Train' is based on a Japanse novel that sees five assassins aboard a - you guessed it - a bullet train who eventually discover that their assignments are not unrelated to one another. Given that this is Leitch, you can guess that whatever happens after that point, it's going to involve a lot of shooting, a lot of kicking and punching, and a lot of incredibly well-directed action beats.
Gaga's role hasn't yet been identified, but Collider's report seems to suggest that she'll be taking more of a supporting role than a lead role in the ensemble. No release date has been set as of yet, but we'll be keeping an eye on this one.
