In this time of uncertainty, it’s important to be able to have a laugh and make fun of yourself. No-one does that better than Kumail Nanjiani.
If you haven’t seen ‘Stuber’, you’re definitely not alone. The Michael Dowse-directed buddy action comedy starring Nanjiani, Dave Bautista and Karen Gillan got, shall we say, mixed reviews when it was released last year.
When Twitter user Christian Schneider poked fun at Stuber by saying “In order to keep people away from gathering at movie theaters, every cinema has announced they'll be showing nothing but "Stuber"”, Nanjiani was quick to reply.
Well, it worked the first time. https://t.co/WcT2PiV8mP

“Well, it worked for the first time,” he said. Well played.
Amid the COVID19 fear and confusion, Nanjiani is also taking to Twitter to talk sense. His wife Emily V. Gordon has an immunodeficiency and is at more risk than most. Here's what he had to say:
Major cities are going to shut down. It’s inevitable. Restaurants/bars will be closed. We’ll go into lockdown. Right now is when you can mitigate the damage. Try & stay home if you can. It’ll lessen the pressure on the healthcare system & you’ll help ppl in at risk groups.

People get upset and annoyed at me when I tweet about the coronavirus, when I urge people to stay in and avoid crowds. My favorite person in the world is immunocompromised. Go ahead and unfollow me. I’ll be tweeting about this until I’m down to zero followers.

Listen to Kumail, people.
