Well be careful what you wish for. Yesterday I was harping on like Harpy Mc Harperson that Kristen Stewart needs to stop being so dull and do something FUN in terms of acting roles. Today, we've gotten word that she's reuniting with her Adventureland co-star Jesse Eisenberg for an action comedy. K-Stew, doing a comedy. Yes, we too thought pigs dressed in zebra onesies would sooner fly out of our hoops but it's true, Kristen's going down the comedy route.
She must have read this here article and decided to redirect her entire career trajectory. Now we know Adventureland had a lot of comedy in it, but Kristen's character was, as ever, moody, deep, pensive etc. Maybe this time she'll actually crack a joke, maybe even a smile, maybe she'll laugh, WHO KNOWS WHAT COULD HAPPEN?
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the pair will star in American Ultra, for which Eisenberg will play "an unmotivated stoner named Mike, who lives with his girlfriend Phoebe (Stewart) in a small, sleepy town. One night, their lives take an unexpected turn when Mike's past comes back to haunt him, and he becomes the target of a government operation set to wipe him out."
Making quite a large claim, producer Anthony Bregman said: "Simply put, American Ultra will be the most fun you can possibly have in a movie theater without the use of drugs, fireworks or canola oil."
Well we'll certainly hold our breath for this one.
