Did Krang from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles freak you out as a child? He did when we were kids, anyway.
Yes, the talking brain that lived inside a hulking robot - honestly, how weird was the '90s? - will be featuring in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel. Krang will be joining fellow throwback villains Bebop and Rocksteady, not to mention the return of Shredder AND the Technodrome.
Remember the Technodrome? Sure you do.
We're pretty sure every second child in '90s Ireland had the toy version of the Technodrome or, at the very least, a Krang action figure that fired off a plastic rocket thing.
It's clear that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is attempting to cash in on the nostalgia factor and, to be honest, it's working. We all loved the TV show back in the day, so throwing in classic characters like Krang, Shredder and Bebop & Rocksteady should come as no surprise.
Believe it or not, there's a strong Irish connection to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The original series was animated in Dublin at Murakami-Wolf-Swenson and in this iteration, Rocksteady will be played by Cabra's own Stephen Farrelly, better known as WWE's Sheamus.
More you know, eh?
