Speaking to Variety, the 39-year-old admitted she would never turn down an opportunity to play Mary Jane Watson again.
Dunst appeared alongside Tobey Maguire as MJ in Sam Raimi's 'Spider-Man' (2002). She then reprised her role for two more films to complete the trilogy.
"I would do it, why not? That would be fun", she said, when asked about a return.
There has been multiple rumours circling the new "Spider-Man: No Way Home" film. Maguire as well as Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone from 'The Amazing Spider-Man' franchise have all been tipped to make a return to their former roles.
Although nothing has been confirmed and Dunst has denied a re-appearance in the upcoming film, she seems keen on reprising her role at a later date.
"I’d be old MJ at this point with little Spidey babies."
While we can't get the image of "Spidey babies" out of our mind, it would be great to revisit the world of Raimi's "Spider-Man". While the third film has a bit of a reputation, it's no doubt a much-loved trilogy amongst fans.
Dunst was speaking at the screening of 'The Power of the Dog' Which will arrive on Netflix on December 1.
