In a somewhat unsurprising move, the studio behind the Ashton Kutcher/ Katherine Heigl action comedy, Killers, have declined to screen it for critics in America.
In a statement oozing with bullshit, Lionsgate said: "In today’s socially connected marketplace, we all have the ability to share feedback instantly around the world. In keeping with this spirit, Lionsgate and the filmmakers want to give the opportunity to moviegoing audiences and critics alike to see Killers simultaneously and share their thoughts in the medium of their choosing."
Surely movies of this sort are critic-proof anyway? If I was Lionsgate I'd be more be concerned with the ropey poster, and incoherent trailer. The film is released here on June 16th.
