In more 'Don't Worry Darling' drama, Kiki Layne has now claimed that "most" of her scenes were cut from the final movie.
Layne posted on Instagram over the weekend to celebrate her meeting her boyfriend Ari'el Stachel on the set of Olivia Wilde's psychological thriller.
The two played married couple Margaret and Ted in the town of Victory. However the characters only appear in a handful of scenes in the first half of the movie.
“The best thing about #DontWorryDarling is that I was lucky enough to meet Ari’el Stachel,” Layne said on Instagram. “They cut us from most of the movie, but we thriving in real life.”
Stachel has been similarly outspoken on social media about being cut out of the film. He reposted one of his own Tiktok videos to Instagram on Saturday, which features the words “When you end up on the cutting room floor” overlaid on a series of tweets criticizing Stachel’s lack of lines.
The lead up to 'Don't Worry Darling' has been full to the brim of drama, on-set rumours and fall-outs between cast and crew.
Director Olivia Wilde was served custody papers from ex-husband Jason Sudeikis at CinemaCon earlier this year while promoting the film. Shia LeBeouf then called bullshit on her claim that she fired him from the film to protect her crew.
That wasn't the end of it, either. During the premiere for the film in Venice, multiple gossip-fuelled moments hit the headlines, including Chris Pine becoming a meme, Harry Styles seemingly spitting on him and Florence Pugh completely ignoring Wilde.
Layne's Instagram post is just another drop in the ocean of drama created by the film. We're sure it won't be the last.
