He might be Robin Hood to some people or Jonathan Clark to others, but we'll always remember Kevin Costner for Dances With Wolves. Easily one of the best Westerns ever made, the film swept the Oscars and was a commercial and critical smash. If you've never seen it, set aside a few hours and watch it. It truly is a classic film.
Kevin Costner's career has been up and down in the last few years. Even though he had a small enough role in Man of Steel, Costner pretty much stole every scene he was in and was (spoiler alert) killed off WAY too early in the film. He also starred in the Emmy-winning miniseries Hatfields & McCoys alongside Bill "GAME OVER MAN!" Paxton.
In a recent interview, Costner spoke about an idea he's had rumbling around for the past few years. In short, he wants to restart the Western genre and release not one, but THREE films in the space of one year. The trilogy, which doesn't have a name and there's no hint of a plot, is an interesting idea. Lars Von Trier recently released Nymphomaniac Vol. I & II in the space of a few months and a third film is already on the way.
Costner says that he'd film this supposed Western trilogy back to back. Good to hear that he's getting back in the game.
We're rooting for you, Kev. Good on you.
