If you're a fan of rom-coms, 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' is one that you've probably watched multiple times over the years.

The film was released in 2003 and starred Kate Hudson as a writer for a woman's magazine, who plans to write an article about how she led a man to dump her. However, the man she choses, advertising executive Matthew McConaughey, is not so easily dumped as he has made a bet that he can make any woman fall in love with him. And if you haven't seen it... well, you can probably guess what happens next.

The film has become such a firm favourite amongst fans over the last two decades that many have called for a sequel - and now it looks like one may possibly be in the works.

At the very least, Hudson has publicly declared that she and McConaughey have both discussed the possibility of reprising their characters of Andie and Ben, and said that the most important element to seal the deal would be the script.

"All that matters would be the script, and if Matthew and I were into the script," she said in a recent interview. "I think we’re both totally open; it has just never happened."

McConaughey previously expressed his own interest in the project back in 2020, saying "I mean, ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ is teed up, you know, teed up for one that you could easily do a sequel. And that was a really good one. As far as romantic comedies go, that was a really good one."
