Zack Snyder's extended cut of 'Justice League' will include new scenes that will be shot next month.
The news follows claims from cast member Ray Fisher that there was misconduct and abuse from director Joss Whedon, who took over from Snyder during the shoot of 'Justice League'.
After a long back and forth of statements between the actor and WarnerMedia, Fisher is currently seeking an independent investigation.
It was initially stated that it was unlikely Snyder would shoot new material for this project. But it seems the case is very different now.
The so-called 'Synder cut' will turn the superhero epic into a four-episode limited series.
Fisher is coming back to shoot new material as Cyborg while Gal Gadot, who plays Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman are also expected to return to set.
There's been no word on the return of Jason Momoa as Aquaman or Ezra Miller as The Flash for the production.
The additional filming will reportedly take place over a week or so.
It is unclear as to whether these reshoots will dramatically alter the plot of 'Justice League'.
With such a short time frame, it's more likely the focus is on getting shots to flesh out existing scenes.
HBO Max releases the new cut in 2021.
