Juno and Thank You For Smoking director Jason Reitman is to write and direct an adaption of the novel Up In The Air, about a man whose only pleasure in life comes from the prospect of achieving one million frequent flyer miles. The character is a ruthless hatchet-man in a big company, and concentrates more on his ultimate goal as his personal life falls apart because of his constant travelling. That sounds like a really interesting concept, and I can think of a cluster of leading men in Hollywood who could fill that role perfectly. Reitman is looking to start shooting before the end of the year, so check back here for casting updates.
