Joseph Gordon-Levitt has come a long way from Third Rock from the Sun via Gotham and now cinema's new golden boy is headed for Sin City.
Deadline reports that he's taking on a lead role in the sequel to the noir drama, playing a character that was originally offered to Johnny Depp. Gordon-Levitt's Johnny will be at the heart of the movie and is said to be involved in several overlapping story lines that feature Sin City veterans Mickey Rourke, Clive Owen, Bruce Willis and Rosario Dawson, plus fresh faces like Dennis Haysbert.
The film's already in production so JGL has a busy few months ahead! But, he won't be joining those Guardians of the Galaxy any time soon. Deadline says he's no longer in talks to take on the lead role in the film and Marvel have started the hunt for their lead actor once again. Pity, that would surely look good on the oul CV, eh?
We're not too worried, what with Joseph making his directorial debut at Sundance later this year, we're pretty sure we'll be seeing quite a lot of him on screen in future inallinanyways!
