Boasting an impressive cast, it's the first details released about the famed director's next horror-enducing movie.
There's a storm (cloud) rolling into theatres next year. Jordan Peele has revealed that his next mysterious venture is entitled 'Nope', and the announcement comes complete with an equally obscure poster.
As you can see below, we can't really gather all that much about 'Nope' other than it boasts an incredible cast. Oh, and there's a mysterious cloud floating about, which we presume is about to cause some sort of terror for the unsuspecting characters. Or maybe it'll rain blood or something - it's anyone's guess, really.
Anyway, 'Nope' will see Peele team up once again with Daniel Kaluuya, who was the break-out star of Peele's most tantalising release yet, 'Get Out'. Since then, Kaluuya has won an Academy Award and a BAFTA for his role in 'Judas and the Black Messiah'. He also plays W'Kabi in 'Black Panther' and will reprise his role for 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'.
Joining Kaluuya will be Keke Palmer, who starred as Mercedes in 'Hustlers'. She previously appeared in 'Scream Queens' and also worked with Jordan Peele on his comedy sketch show with Keegan-Michael Key, 'Key & Peele'.
Finally, Steven Yeun will round out the third and final lead role in 'Nope'. First appearing in 'The Walking Dead' as the likeable Glenn, Yeun has gone on to lend his voice to TV series such as 'Trollhunters', 'Tuca & Bertie', 'Final Space' and Amazon Prime's 'Invincible'. His role in 'Minari' earned him an Academy Award nomination earlier this year.
Similar to 'Get Out' and 'Us', 'Nope' will see Jordan Peele direct, write and produce the movie. The Oscar winner also wrote and produced the upcoming 'Candyman' sequel from Nia DaCosta, while he also wrote and produced Henry Selick's next stop-motion animation for Netflix, 'Wendell and Wild'.
Jordan Peele's 'Nope' will be released on 22 July, 2022.
