Are you ready for more Sex and the City? Because you might just get it.
Despite hugely negative reviews of the sequel to the Sex and the City movie, it still raked in a whole pile of cash (it was 2010's biggest grossing romantic comedy) and that looks like it might be enough to tempt everyone involved back to the set for one more instalment of the hugely popular series.
Speaking to DishNation, Jennifer Hudson was fairly candid about being contacted regarding doing another sequel, and she said: "I think it might be [happening]. Somebody just came to me talking about that. So if it's in the talks, it might happen. So look out for your girl Louise from St. Louis!".
According to E! Online, there has already been some talk of this happening from producer Michael Patrick King, who said a few months ago when speaking to Entertainment Weekly that there was "one more story" in the series, while back in January, SJP herself said that she also thought there was another chapter to be told.
So, either they want to make a really gritty, powerful drama about the position of modern feminism and how we might perceive our society as equal but in reality, there are countless examples of everyday sexism that are holding us back and we need to acknowledge them OR they looked at the $305,153,249 they reportedly made from the movie and DVD sales of Sex and the City 2 and thought...'ah yeah, go on so'.
