This morning in casting news Marley and Me's Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson have just signed on to star in a comedy called 'She's Funny That Way'. Not the most inspiring of titles but seeing that we enjoyed Marley and Me so much, we'll reserve judgement on this just yet. The plot does sound quite intriguing though; Wilson will play a big-shot Broadway director who falls for a former prostitute turned actress while Aniston will play a therapist whose mother has been sent off to rehab on account of her alcohol addiction. How their stories join in the middle, we'll have to wait and see. Jason Schwartzman, Cybil Shepherd, Kathryn Hahn, Brie Lawson and the always awesome Eugene Levy also star.
Elsewhere, Amanda Seyfried is said to have her eye on Seth MacFarlane's western comedy, A Million Ways to Die in the West, starring MacFarlane himself and Charlize Theron. The story centres on a shy farmer who, too chicken to take part in a gunfight, finds himself left stranted by his girlfriend. He then falls in love with one of the town's outlaw's wife (played by Theron) who pretty much trains him in the art of manning up. As per The Hollywood Reporter, Seyfried would take on the role of the deserting girlfriend.
Finally, we're still unaware as to what's happening with Halle Berry for X-Men: Days of Future Past. Will she return? Bryan Singer confirms that her involvement remains unclear. While he's brought back a number of the original cast, when asked by MTV about Berry's status, Singer said: "I can't say. I don't know yet. And it's not necessarily a deal making aspect at all. I want to make sure it'll make sense."
And that's it for the moment in Hollywood!
