Jason Momoa, the actor who played Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones, is in talks for the lead role in the reboot of The Crow. He met with the director earlier this week and posted the following photo to his Instagram.
Momoa most recently had a brief cameo as Aquaman in Batman vs Superman, and is currently working on Justice League and a standalone Aquaman film. Mashable are reporting that should Momoa be cast in The Crow, they will work around his DC schedule.
The Crow is based on a graphic novel, with the original film version released in 1994. It was the last film of Brandon Lee, son of Bruce, who was tragically shot and killed on set.
The reboot is set to be directed by Corin Hardy, the man behind The Hallow, and is being produced by Relativity Media, who recently emerged from bankruptcy. Before their financial difficulties they had produced hits such as Pineapple Express, Step Brothers and Mamma Mia.
They're hoping that The Crow will be released before Aquaman, which is scheduled for 2018.
