Following months of speculation, it has finally been confirmed that a third Bill & Ted film is on the way.
Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter will return to the big screen as Theodore “Ted” Logan and “Bill” S Preston Esq. in 'Bill & Ted Face the Music'.
The news comes 29 years after the first film 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure' and 27 years after 'Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey' saw the two goofy teenagers on an adventure with Death himself.
To say that Reeves, in particular, has been busy during that period is an understatement, but the third film - which was announced yesterday in Cannes - will catch up with the pair in middle age as they continue in their ever-failing quest to write 'the greatest song ever' as they balance family life.
As previously reported, original writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon will pen the script, with Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest, Fun with Dick and Jane) attached to direct. The film is currently in pre-production.
As they might say themselves: bodacious, dudes.
