The critically acclaimed HBO series is making its long-awaited return in the form of a one-off movie, according to two of the show’s stars.
Kim Dickens and Dayton Callie, who played Joanie Stubbs and Charlie Utter respectively, both appeared at Comic-Con and revealed that they’ve been asked about their schedules and potential filming dates.
“They’ve called for our availability,” said Dickens, with Callie confirming he had been asked too.
Back in April Deadwood leading man Ian McShane confirmed that he was in favour of the project and that series producer David Milch had written and delivered a two-hour movie script to HBO.
“We’d all love to do it,” he said. “It would be nice to see all of the old gang again.”
We don’t want to get your hopes up Deadwood fans, but it’s looking good.
